Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst

The Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst plays an essential role in making sense of data, digging deep to discover useful information, identifying trends, and generating actionable business insights. The Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst is forward thinking information professional with a proven, in-depth understanding of analytical and statistical approaches to transform the way in which data is translated into actionable intelligence while encompassing a customer-focused culture. The Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst has the ability to learn quickly, always improve existing skills and develop new ones, puts the Team first, is helpful and open, innovative, and willingly shares knowledge with colleagues. This position reports to the VPs of Business Development and will be key to documenting and driving toward the success of the business development initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Willingly takes on additional responsibilities as requested in order to accomplish department and Company objectives.
• Conducting interactive presentations and preparing reports for effective communication of data to a diverse audience.
• Supports the Sales and Marketing team and/or other departments on an as-needed basis.
• Mining and analyzing organizational data, including financial, employment, expenditure, and revenue reports.
• Consulting with relevant stakeholders and management to map strategic goals.
• Working with data will be a key part of your job. Knowing how to manage data using common data tools such as Excel and SQL are essential.
• Knowledge of services like Tableau and Power BI are often essential.
• Actively participates and contributes to the goals and objectives of the Company by working collaboratively and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
• This candidate must have a good understanding of business practices and finance (including insurance and reinsurance industry knowledge) and will be critical to providing insights on improving the business.
• Entrepreneurial mindset in a fast-paced work environment, and dynamic work culture.
• Conduct market research and analysis.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of business analytics methodologies, tools, software, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence/Reporting analyst, with a track record of successfully managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Training or Work Experience:

• 3–4 years of experience in a business intelligence/reporting role.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree

Working Conditions:

• On-Site Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
• Business Travel: Occasional travel (5 – 10% of the time).
