Business Intelligence Analyst - Intermediate Level
The Business Intelligence Analyst works in a fast-paced, high-exposure environment to meet the demands of analyzing, modeling and research, optimization and collaborative solution delivery. The BI role will help lead the development of our business intelligence strategy. The role requires experience in aligning data to strategic goals and KPI's and uses statistical best practices to develop visualizations to effectively communicate complex findings. The BI position contributes to the proactive culture of our Services through supporting our business and safety goals. This role reports to the Manager, Resource Planning & Time Administration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use the principles of Business Intelligence to analyze, understand and visualize operational and business data
- Collaborate with the Data Analyst to develop and distribute reports, dashboards, and tools, to maintain and enhance performance
- Analyze business performance against KPIs and goals and prepare reports for key stakeholders
- Demonstrate and make recommendations to the business based on BI principles
- Other duties as assigned
- Gather, analyze, and disseminate business data that support the integrity of the information and the company
- Model and maintain an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance culture that demonstrates our values of Safety, Service, Integrity, Mutual Respect, Accountability and Pride
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's degree with a focus in mathematics, economics, finance, statistics, business, computer science, or technical/engineering, or an additional 2 years of training or experience in lieu of this degree.
- Adept at dashboard design, charting, and report automation.
- Advanced skills in Excel are required.
- Experienced with applied statistics and probability.
- Ability to work well with multiple, diverse teams.
- Must be able to work well within a team environment must be detail-oriented and organized
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of business intelligence functions, including analytics, data mining, reporting, report conversion, data cleansing, data modeling and relational databases.
- 2 years analytical experience or a related area.
- Minimum age of 18
- Advanced SQL skills are required, with experience in Tableau.
- Demonstrated experience working with disparate data sources and data blending.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
