This team is looking for a Business Analyst to support the broad program, project & process agendas of the CIB Global Regulatory Change and Controls (GRC&C) area. Our team supports a mixture of projects related to Controls, Risk, Operational processes and Regulatory changes across multiple businesses in the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB).
As part of the projects team you will be responsible for executing all steps in the project life cycle (initiation, planning, business requirements, functional design, build, test planning & execution and implementation) focusing but not limited to the following:
Job responsibilities
  • Interacting and working collaboratively with the applicable lines of businesses (LOBs), Reg Tech, Legal and Compliance in defining and documenting key milestones and deliverables for trade reporting to respective regulators
  • Partner with stakeholders, providing guidance and analysis, helping identify and escalate issues/risks/dependencies and facilitating communication across teams.
  • Assisting in leading program milestones and deliverables across various LOBs
  • Assisting in drafting project plan, business requirements
  • Reviewing and interpreting regulatory and business requirements for trade reporting to NA regulators including Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and Canadian regulators
  • Building and maintaining working relationships with stakeholders in the different businesses our team supports (e.g., Equities, Credit, Interest Rates, Foreign Exchange, Commodities) and functions (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Technology, Operations, etc.)
  • Documenting and identifying areas of opportunities where to improve the program management framework

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • You must be a self starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results guided, changing work environment
  • Excellent organization & planning skills and strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Strong product knowledge across 1 or more derivative asset classes
  • Team player with ability to build & maintain productive working relationships with colleagues globally at all levels and across functions in order to achieve results
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Go od background in banking and a broad understanding of the changing regulatory environment for Over the Counter (OTC) derivatives
  • Good project management skills with attention to detail and ability to work independently

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • An understanding of regulatory reporting requirements such as for Dodd-Frank Act (DFA) Title VII (i.e. CFTC Part 43 and Part 45, SEC Security Based Swaps), as well as Canadian TR Reporting
