Position Summary: MLB Network (“Company”) seeks a Finance Data Analyst to support the Finance Department with a focus on Business Intelligence. This position will play a crucial role by leveraging expertise in information systems, SQL, Excel, Oracle, BOARD, along with other Business Intelligence tools. We are searching for a candidate with a passion for analyzing complex data, driving strategic decision-making, and improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Accounting teams to ensure proper integration, security, and performance of Business Intelligence solutions.
• Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure data integrity, troubleshoot data-related issues, and propose solutions for improvement.
• Other such duties as required.
• Design and create meaningful visualizations, reports, and dashboards using tools like BOARD, Excel, and other Business Intelligence tools to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain efficient and scalable data models, databases, and data pipelines to support the Finance department and business reporting and analytics needs.
• Perform data analysis and provide recommendations to improve business processes, optimize resource allocation, and enhance decision-making capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for Business Intelligence solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, advancements, and best practices in Business Intelligence, data management, and analytics.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Automate workflows for standard monthly reporting.

Skills & Experience: The ideal candidate must have most if not all of the following skills and experience:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Experience working with BOARD or other Business Intelligence tools (Oracle, Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, etc.) to create interactive reports and visualizations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and superior attention to detail.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and querying.
• Must have minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a focus on Business Intelligence and data analysis.
• Ability to deliver as a strategist as well as a data analyst.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration.
• Ability to create and maintain accurate financial records, identify discrepancies, and take timely corrective actions.
• Ability to sit or stand for sufficient lengths of time in order to effectively deliver required work product.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of process improvements using technology and business intelligence tools.
• Must be able to work independently to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
• Strong expertise in Excel for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of databases and SQL performance tuning
• Able to maintain and protect confidential information.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret complex data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
• Possess the visual acuity needed to effectively deliver required work product.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members at all levels.
• Possess the manual dexterity to effectively operate keyboard/mouse on computers, edit equipment, etc.
• Excellent technical, oral, and written communication skills.
• Possess the auditory acuity needed to effectively deliver required work product.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field required. Familiarity with Accounting and Finance concepts is preferred. Relevant certifications are a plus.
