Job Description
UDR, Inc. is now hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at our corporate office in Highlands Ranch.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Focused on supporting the company’s operational intelligence through the construction/maintenance of reporting tools and maintenance of foundational datasets. Will assist Director of Analytics, VP of Operations FP&A, and VPs of Property Operations with creating and maintaining BI tools and reporting assets that provide operational solutions.

Essential Functions
  • Identify new opportunities for growth to ensure industry leading revenue growth. Provide insight on expense saving opportunities. Assist in building a framework for customer experience information and actions.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis for the SVP of Property Operations. Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
  • Improve and maintain existing dashboards and reporting environments.
  • Build models and forecasts drawing from multiple data types.
  • Create actionable operational insights by leveraging our large and growing pool of data.
  • Design, maintain, and update datasets to be used in regular or recurring analysis.
  • Provide regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support the sales and marketing teams.
Performance Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of business research principles, processes, and techniques. Solid understanding of best practices of data modelling and manipulation. Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent people skills are required.
  • Ability to think conceptually and translate concepts into practical applications. Ability to demonstrate and execute practical and effective solutions to problems. Ability to analyze data and recommend strategy. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Understanding of statistical methods and their limitations.
  • Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Knowledge and appreciation of business concepts and requirements. Ability to apply policies and procedures to solve everyday company issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and presentations. Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, and the Executive Team. Ability to work in conjunction with Company managers, property management teams and associates.
  • Must have the ability to manage workload, to develop efficient and effective processes that impact the entire organization, and to communicate with managers and staff at all levels of the organization. Ability to travel, when applicable.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Some bending, stooping, and stretching. Occasionally lifting items weighing up to 30 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Extensive research and required ability to sit for long periods of time. Regular and consistent attendance on the job is an essential function.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work.
Education And Experience
  • Multifamily experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI (including Power Query and DAX), Tableau, or similar data visualization tools required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel required.
  • Direct experience working in SQL is required.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license unless otherwise noted.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, or other quantitatively rigorous field: or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Graduate degree is a plus.
  • One to two years’ prior experience in analytics and database management required.
  • Word and PowerPoint experience required.

Salary Range
  • $90,000.00/yr. – $100,000.00/yr., depends on experience
Bonus Potential
  • Eligible for 10% annual bonus potential, based on personal and company performance
