Job Purpose:
Altafiber is looking for a motivated, intelligent, and driven sales professional to join our team as a Business Development Rep (BDR). The BDR plays a critical role in altafiber's success by developing the top of the customer acquisition funnel. In close partnership with the Manager of Sales Development, your responsibility will be to generate new leads and customers, while collaborating directly with the larger sales, marketing, and product teams.
Essential Functions:
- Gain a deep expertise in our sales funnel and automation tools
- Utilize your active listening skills to understand and uncover customer needs and business problems
- Reach out to leads via cold calling, social engagement, and email prospecting to convey altafiber's value proposition
- Deliver consistently against quota, despite imperfect systems and processes
- Develop strong sales and product knowledge through continuous trainings
- Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to provide the best possible content and first impressions for new customers
- Generate sales-ready meetings and opportunities for Account Executives
Education:
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Relevant Work Experience:
No experience to 1 year in related field
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent prioritization and project management skills
- Ability to handle objections and educate prospects in a consultative manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team Player
- Strong work ethic
- Proactive problem solver
