Job Description
Salary: $135,000.00


We have partnered with a global interior design firm based in the Los Angeles, CA area to provide them with a Business Development Manager. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.


Prioritized Must Have Skills For The Business Development Manager


#1. Must have at least 7+yrs experience working in the Interior Design or Architecture marketplace.


#2. Must have experience gaining new business across luxury multi-family and/or Hospitality.


#3. No more than 3 jobs in the past 10 years


Responsibilities Of The Business Development Manager


  • Assess potential new clients, projects, regions, and strategy for proactive outreach.
  • Manage and maintain Salesforce database with client and collaborator relationships.
  • Proactively research and execute Business Development strategy consistent with the firm's brand message and expansion goals that will guide their Business Development activities.
  • Develop and drive inquiries for new business (including RFQs/RFPs) and collaborate with firm leadership to strategize responses.
  • Actively seeking out new business opportunities, using your own network of industry contacts and outreaching out to potential future clients.
  • Perform market research and prepare regular status updates to management.
  • Seeking out and attending key networking events and professional exhibitions.
  • Coordinating regular meetings with existing and new clients, helping to build a strong rapport for long-lasting relationships.


Requirements Of The Business Development Manager


  • Advanced presentation and organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to collaborate with and direct others.
  • Be highly self-motivated, ambitious, positive, and an excitable go-getter.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ideally, experience gaining new business across luxury muti-family and/or hospitality.
  • 7+ years experience of business development, preferably within interior design or architecture
  • Experience with customer relationship management databases sch as Salesforce.
  • Professional degree
  • Advanced knowledge of the hospitality industry a plus.
  • A proven track record of gaining new business projects in North America
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop advantageous but not essential
  • Strong interest in architecture and design and able to communicate to industry experts at a high level of understanding.


Other Key Requirements


  • No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
  • Hybrid model considered.
