Business Development Representative

Location: Washington DC

Compensation: $84,000 annualized base salary + monthly bonus opportunities

The salary selected for this position will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to equity, experience, education, speciality and training.

A Day In The Life:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for outbound sales prospecting with the bulk of their time being spent reaching out to clients during the early stages of the sales funnel and determining their true intent to buy. As the first line of communication with potential customers, the Business Development Representative should have a strong understanding of the sales process and present our products and services, setting up the regional sales manager for success. Ultimately, this position supports rapid growth with the opportunity to advance your career quickly and take ownership of your own territory.

Ideal Candidates will be self-starters who have some experience and are eager to grow their career. You should be a quick learner in a technology driven (mobile app) environment with the ability to present our products and services in a compelling way.

The Team and Environment:

Each market will consist of one member of the Business Development team. This position is remote unless out in the field connecting with potential customers. The BDR should expect to travel up to 60 miles in each direction from the city center point. You can expect a challenging work environment and be able to adapt to rapidly changing initiatives. As a part of the Business Development team, you will work hard alongside some of the most awesome people you’ll ever meet!

What You’ll Add to Fluid:

  • Build relationships by nurturing warm prospects while maintaining a high level of communication
  • Work closely with fleet support in order to provide a well maintained fleet
  • Identify customer pain points and determine the best solution for the customer
  • Identify best practices to continue to refine the company's lead generation playbook
  • Driving measurable sales results by meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
  • Keep up to date sales pipeline information in CRM (Salesforce)
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Cold calling, emailing and dropping by potential customers
  • Responsible for identifying and qualifying new leads and moving them through the sales pipeline

Qualifications:

1-2 years of B2B/Outside sales experience. Candidates must possess high energy with a strong drive and motivation to succeed. You must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and take initiative to get things done with little or no direction. In addition, you must be adaptable with the ability to roll with new initiatives on a dime. Lastly, you must be customer obsessed and with excellent communication skills and the ability to provide top notch customer service.
