: Business Development Executive – High-Reliability Microelectronics
Location: Milpitas, CA
Work Schedule: Onsite
Reports To: General Manager
Supervises: Yes, < 2
Base Salary: $150k - $180k per annum
Job Summary:
Provide strategic commercial development leadership to the organizations’ environmental, mid-level electrical and mechanical test services to reinvigorate revenue growth. Promote the Company’s comprehensive environmental and mechanical testing capabilities, turnkey manufacturing, value added up screen and PEM Qual. testing services with a focus on BEOL customers in the Military and Hi-Reliability sectors, leveraging the established customer base of Hi-Rel Microelectronics (HRM) group. Define long-term organizational strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and competitive capabilities. Work with internal teams, marketing and other managers to maximize revenue growth by extending the organization’s technical and service and capabilities..
Job Duties:
- Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
- Submit weekly progress reports.
- Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met; track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
- Identify and champion opportunities to expand the Company’s scope and range of services in response to customer needs
- Enhance organization’s reputation as an innovative problem-solver through investigating new and different customer requests and exploring opportunities to incrementally add value to their project specifications.
- Take full responsibility for specific assigned national customers; develop new accounts plus expand existing relationships
- Be a strong collaborator and active supporter of the Enterprise Account/Program team
- Participate in pricing the solution/service.
- Provide technical assistance and support to lab personnel and other departments, as needed.
- Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials; evaluate options; resolve internal priorities.
- Lead, leverage and support the broader Sales and Rep organization to sell HRM services
- Host and/or co-host at trade shows.
- Exploit adjacent medical and fast obsolescence sectors for Sunset, Legacy and EOL support opportunities
- Drive sales growth of Environmental, Mid-level Electrical and Mechanical test services in Hi-Reliability markets.
- Represent the Company at Industry forums, JEDEC task forces and other committees that provide technical exposure and capability extensions.
- Work in close cooperation with the Customer Coordinator and the Reliability Test, Engineering and Assembly Manager to service customer needs and fulfil service and product commitments
- Understand and translate customer requirements into professional written quotations offering the best fit technical solution to meet customer needs.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience within the Military/Aerospace industry (or other highly regulated industry), preferred.
- Direct experience with RFQ process, proposal and quote management.
- Familiarity with Military programs, DLA logistics, PEM Quals, Screening Flows, QML Flows, MIL STD 750, 883 and others.
- BS in engineering (electrical preferred) ideally with a post-graduate business administration degree from a fully accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in technical sales and business development – ideally in a service environment
