Role: Business Analyst (Junior position) Junior BA / Temp backfills


Location: New York city, NY


FULLY ONSITE


DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

• Understand business needs and then translate the need into system improvements or new features requirements.

• Provide ad hoc reports to satisfy business data need or assist production issue trouble shooting.

• Analyze system issues to distinguish among training/usage issues, functional defects, or change request.

• Conduct User Acceptance Testing on critical production bug fixes as well as enhancements. Responsibilities include Identifying testing scenarios, preparing test cases, tracking and documenting resolution status on JIRA, as well as closely collaborating with development team and technical BAs.

Preferred Skills:

• 2+ years working experience as a business analyst or data analyst.

• Knowledge of database and data analytic programs such as Oracle SQL Developer, Microsoft SQL management studio, Access, and Excel.

• SQL query skills and understanding of relational database principles.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, including validating/verifying and technical writing skills.

  • • Multi-tasking and ability to handle priorities as well as work against tight deadlines.
