Crew Position: Bookkeeping Clerk

Pirate Ventures is actively seeking a savvy individual to support our growing hospitality company. The Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Auditing Clerk will maintain accounting records for the company; ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines; open and establish new accounts for our growing business; identify and reconcile issues in financial data as needed. This mid-level role is ideal for an ambitious, bright, and highly-organized bookkeeping professional looking for a part-time or full-time position in an organization that will value their expertise! Duties/Responsibilities

• Ensures financial data is entered correctly and accurately.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Process payroll for business units
• Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
• Reconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records.
• Maintains accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
• Enters journal entries to debit and credit the company's accounts.
• Generates accounting and audit reports for cash receipts, accounts payable and receivable, expenditures, and profits and losses.
• Be a relentless perfectionist with a positive attitude who has a high level of attention to mastering the minutia and competitive spirit
• Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.
• Tech savvy individual proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree with accounting coursework preferred.
• At least three years of bookkeeping experience required.
• QuickBooks Pro certified
• Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
