Role

Philo is looking for a part-time mid-level accounting clerk. The accounting clerk will primarily be focused on day-to-day accounting processes and record keeping for multiple portfolio companies. The Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable Clerk will report to Philo’s CFO, located in Lehi, UT, or his delegate.  While candidates proximate to Lehi UT will be given preference, remote employment is possible.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department, including billing, A/R, A/P, G/L
  • Assist and maintain accurate accounting documents and records
  • Collaborate with the CFO to explain results, make improvements, identify inefficiencies, and understand operations
  • Provide support for various administrative needs and responsibilities for Philo and their portfolio companies
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems or discrepancies

Experiences and Skill Set

  • At least 3 years’ experience in accounting; more than 5 years is a plus

•Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus

  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and other accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting strict deadlines
