The Team

Join our small but mighty team of benefit professionals to support the foundation’s mission to create a world where every person has the opportunity to live a healthy, productive life. As the Benefits Coordinator, you will provide operational support to the Benefits team and foundation employees.

The Role

Your core responsibilities will include being the first point of contact for basic benefit and enrollment questions, processing benefits changes, resolving data file issues with benefit vendors, and completing audits to resolve data discrepancies between systems. Your integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality in the handling of personal employee data is a critical part of this role. Your close collaboration with peers is imperative for success as we continuously seek opportunities to improve our operational efficiency and effectiveness.

What You’ll Do!

  • Assist with U.S. and global open enrollment testing, activities, communications, audits, and presentations
  • Support additional projects as requested.
  • Assists with training new members of HR shared services team, or other relevant staff, on areas of Subject Matter Expertise
  • Assist with bi-weekly new hire orientation and present to groups of 15-20 employees
  • Evaluate, create, and implement process improvements to drive a more positive experience for employees and partners
  • Understands and triages sensitive issues requiring additional escalation; Proactively engages other partners to advise decisions.
  • Keep informed and updated on relevant HR policies, systems, and procedures
  • Maintains internal SharePoint site for accurate benefit information, links, and documents
  • Participates in system testing and enhancements, coordinating with HR Business Analyst team and our IT partners.
  • Reconcile vendor invoices and process payments through invoicing system.
  • Process life event and benefits changes in Workday system, conduct audits as required
  • Partner and collaborate optimally across HR and with other relevant operational staff (HR Managers, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, IT, legal, etc.)
  • Promptly and accurately respond to inquiries from employees and managers relating to HR policies and programs, maintaining strict confidentiality as needed
  • Work with benefit vendors as needed to resolve issues and follow up to complete resolution

Your Experience

  • Proficient user of Excel, Workday (data entry, integrity, auditing, and reporting) and other HR systems including Zendesk and SharePoint
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and 3-5 years of relevant work experience within HR dealing with sensitive information.
  • Detail orientation and dedication to accuracy
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, execution, coordination and organizational skills and ability to independently prioritize and meet deadlines to achieve results within a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills demonstrating diplomacy, discretion and good judgment when delivering information
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with employee requests and issues
  • Experience managing data, including data entry, auditing, and reporting.
  • Highly collaborative and interpersonally effective; able to interact with individuals from varied backgrounds, communication styles, and positions internally and externally
  • Experience with Workday and Zendesk preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with administering benefit programs covering the following: medical, dental, vision, FSA, life, disability, and retirement benefits
  • Knowledge and experience administering leaves of absence programs a plus

Other Attributes

  • The typical salary range for this role is $ 26.78 per hour to $ 49.44 USD. The exact offer will be determined by a variety of factors such as the candidate’s individual skills, qualifications, and experience relative to the requirements of the role.
