Our client, an international leader in building materials, is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join their team in Sumas, WA. If you love HR and working both with a team and independently, this is the role for you!
The Human Resources Coordinator will be directly responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR activities of the plant. This position will also assist with administrative requirements to support plant operations.

What You Will Be Doing

• Make recommendations to improvement on policies, procedures, and programs
• Compiles HR reports and analysis data for leaders
• Conduct New Hire On-boarding
• Adhere to the consistent interpretation of Company policies, procedures and programs, and collective bargaining agreement
• Support the administration benefits program as front line support for employees
• Lead employee engagement initiatives
• Resolve minor employee related issues and escalate to Regional HR Managers
• Responsible for recruitment and selection
• Assist plant management team to coordinate recognition programs and social events

What You Will Need

• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• A bachelors degree
• The ability to commute to Sumas, WA!
• Experience hiring for a manufacturing plant is a big plus!
• Ability to organize workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
• The ability to support a fast paced manufacturing team
• A Minimum of 5+ years of experience within HR as an HR coordinator or Specialist or similar role
• Proven records in attention to details and data accuracy
