Bariatric Navigator - Weight Loss & Advanced Surgery

Job Summary
The Bariatric Navigator is a registered nurse responsible for collaboration with the Bariatric team and the patient to facilitate the progression of care from the point of interest in surgical weight loss through the post-operative period. The navigator monitors the patient’s progress, intervening appropriately to ensure the plan of care and services provided are patient focused, appropriate for the patient’s needs and efficient. The navigator works with the patient during the insurance approval process, making sure all relevant documentation is in order and in alignment with the insurance benefits while communicating information to payers and the patient.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: Current Missouri Registered Nurse License
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or other related field
Experience
Preferred: 3 years clinical experience
Skills
Strong oral and written communication.
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and able to develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Required: Current Missouri Registered Nurse License
