Job Title:

RN Specialty Office

The Specialty RN based in the practice environment, is responsible for the delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifying and determining the priority of patient’s needs, and evaluating the process and outcome of patient care in the office setting. The RN, in cooperation with the specialist provider, provides and directs patient teaching activities and coordinates the care provided by health team members.

In collaboration with the patient and health team members, conducts initial and ongoing assessment, designed to gather data relevant to the patient’s individual needs so as to communicate initial needs to the specialist provider to expedite evaluation. Documents in the electronic medical record system as appropriate for compliance.

Communicates with patients via phone and answers questions, informs patients of abnormal lab values and plan of care as well as instructions and teaching, with a focus on excellent customer service.

Within the scope of the position and RN licensure, answers staff questions and educates medical assistants, directing work when appropriate, to ensure excellent customer service and patient satisfaction.

Conducts patient teaching on any in-office and outpatient procedures with the patients and their families.

Will work at Kenwood and Anderson locations

Required Minimum: 2 year associates degree Nursing

Preferred Education: 4 year Bachelors degree Nursing

Current Ohio RN licensure
