Responsibilities


The role of a Navigator, Outreach & Scheduling Assistant is to assist individuals in completing the enrollment process for affordable Health Insurance


through the NY State of Health. This position requires you to travel within the community and meet with your clients.


  • Assist consumers with obtaining health insurance coverage
  • Attend community events, such as Job Fairs, Community Resource Fairs, Health & Wellness Fairs to educate perspective enrollees about The NY State of Health
  • Complete On-line enrollment applications
  • Schedule upcoming appointments


Qualifications


To qualify for this career opportunity, an applicant should possess the following in order to be considered


  • Associates Degree, preferred
  • Valid NYS Driver License, This position can require the employee to drive to locations during their daily work schedule.
  • Access to Private Transportation
  • Up to a 1 year of social service or other similar experience
  • Strong Computer Skills to include Excel, MS Word & Outlook
  • Administrative skills
  • Some flexibility for evening/weekend events

SUPERVISES n/a


STATUS Full Time / Exempt


SCHTDULE 35 hours per week. Weekdays & Weekends, as scheduled.


FUNCTION Responsible to provide overall leadership and direction to the recruiting, training, and encouragement of local officers and other lay leaders in the Division. The Leadership Development Director will be expected to spend time in the field not only during the week, but also Sundays. The Leadership development director will need to become intimately aware of every Corps in the command with respect to both current and potential leadership.


  • Posses the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field or a related field.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be a uniform wearing Salvationist.
  • Possesses the ability to uphold and promote the mission of The Salvation Army.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Ministry, or Related Field.
  • Possess the ability to travel throughout the SWONEKY Division.
