Waltham

Full Time | Apply Here

The Company

We are Alloy Therapeutics—a biotechnology ecosystem company empowering the global scientific community to make better medicines together. Through a community of partners, we democratize access to pre-competitive tools, technologies, services, and company creation capabilities that are foundational for discovering and developing therapeutic biologics. The company facilitates affordable, non-exclusive access for the entire drug discovery community, ranging from academic scientists, to midsized biotechs, to the largest biopharmas. At Alloy, we believe our industry should compete - and our company will succeed - when we help get the best drugs to patients in need, as quickly as possible. We believe that exclusive access to drug discovery platforms slows innovation, fails patients, and reduces long-term economic impact for investors. As a reflection of our relentless commitment to patients and the scientific community they serve, Alloy reinvests 100% of its revenue in innovation and access to innovation. Our motto is:

MAY THE BEST DRUG WIN.

Alloy is headquartered in Waltham, MA with additional labs in Cambridge, UK; Basel, CH; San Francisco, CA; and Athens, GA. Successful members thrive in our shared culture of accountability, deliberate trust, and open communication. As a team we aspire to work together to exceed expectations and collectively contribute across the global organization to always maintain our nimble, startup culture.

The Team

The Office of the CEO functions as a strategic thought partner across the entire executive leadership team to drive and manage a broad range of corporate priorities that enable the advancement of the Alloy ecosystem. Working with the CEO, the Office of the CEO has a birds eye to the entire Alloy business and works to prioritize and execute strategic initiatives that are ideated and developed by the Office, coordinating, tracking, and monitoring the requisite activities and deliverables across all relevant functions. The Office of the CEO closely aligns with, and fosters collaboration among, business development, scientific, legal, finance, and venture creation by delivering tools, processes, and analysis that support strategic decision making and execution at all levels of the organization. The Office of the CEO takes an active role in executing projects and initiatives that directly contribute to the long-term success of the company and its affiliates.

The Role

We are actively searching for a dynamic and driven individual to join our organization as a key partner in supporting various strategic initiatives, corporate development projects, and board and executive reporting. If you are someone who thrives on challenges, possesses a strong scientific and business acumen, and has exceptional analytical and communication abilities, we want to meet you!

Reporting directly to the Office of the CEO, this role presents a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic decision-making and operational processes by engaging closely with our esteemed Executive Team. If you join us, you will be part of an ambitious team that is committed to revolutionizing the way we develop groundbreaking medicines for patients. Together, we can create a paradigm shift in the industry.

How You’ll Drive Impact

  • Corporate Development: Identify, evaluate, and execute corporate development opportunities that align with the organization's growth objectives, conduct partnership due diligence, and negotiate partnership agreements.
  • Strategy Planning and Support: Collaborate with the team to develop and refine the organization's strategic plan, including in-depth analysis of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for growth and improvement.
  • Board and Executive Reporting: Prepare executive-level presentations and reports to communicate strategic recommendations, findings, and updates to senior leadership and the board of directors.

Desired Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industries, life sciences consulting, venture capital, or investment banking.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field of study (biology, chemistry, biotechnology, biochemistry, engineering, etc.). Candidates with an MBA are eligible and welcomed to apply.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills enabling engagement with a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong drive to proactively manage workstreams by maintaining an up-to-date list of priorities, action items, and open questions.
  • Outstanding work planning and project management capabilities, including scoping and executing projects, and developing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborative and strategic mindset, demonstrated by the ability to coordinate cross-functionally in a tactful and thoughtful manner.
  • Eagerness to learn about all facets of the biotech business.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
