Job Description
Nimbus Therapeutics has an outstanding opportunity for an Associate Director, Corporate Development & Strategy to join our team. You will be a key member of Nimbus's Business Development team. The role will span multiple functions, including exploring and executing business development opportunities for existing programs and R&D collaborations and providing commercial analytical support to inform portfolio strategy. You will report to our Executive Director, Corporate Development & Strategy.


In this role, you will:


  • Execute on partnering priorities working closely within the Business Development team and collaborating across Discovery, Development, Commercial, Finance, and leadership teams.
  • Contribute to the overall commercial strategy, including identification of suitable data sources and turn into actionable analytics that drive data-driven decision making.
  • Keep abreast of broad industry trends and developments to influence broader business strategy. Provide management of conference coverage of emerging clinical and market data.
  • Support due diligence, negotiation and execution of transactions.
  • Manage business & investment cases and conduct of scientific, clinical and commercial assessments to better understand portfolio and strategic interests in small molecule therapies within immunology, oncology and metabolic diseases.
  • Design and deliver successful market research, competitive landscape, deal intelligence and business analytics to derive the most impactful insights. Ability to understand and apply primary, secondary and syndicated market research methodologies and techniques.
  • Position the company as a partner of choice to biotech and pharma companies through a variety of interactions and networking.
  • Identify and highlight risks, challenge, and opportunities for current and future Nimbus business state.


These qualifications will help this role be successful:


  • Bachelor's degree within relevant life sciences field and 8+ years relevant business experience within the biotechnology and/or drug development consulting industry. Advanced degree, such as an MS or MBA, preferred.
  • Strong business and finance acumen with ability to proactively translate complex and strategic business issues and questions to derive recommendations and decision making.
  • Ability to impact key stakeholder strategies and decision through advanced inductive reasoning, insight generation techniques and business judgment.
  • Experience working with small molecules across multiple therapeutic areas. Experience within the immunology and/or metabolic disease space preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the drug development and commercialization process to assess and contextualize.
  • Result-oriented self starter with a collaborative mindset and comfort working through ambiguity and evolving environments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
