The Associate Shopper Marketing Manager is a key contributor to the shopper marketing organization and will be responsible for developing and implementing omnichannel programs to drive brand activation and growth at select, assigned accounts.
In order to build these plans, this person should have experience executing marketing campaigns, preferably in the CPG space, and some experience working with retailers. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in building shopper marketing or national marketing programs and has worked effectively in driving influence with cross functional teams.
This role will be based at our Rogers, AR Sales Office and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
The salary range for this role is: $69,056 - $117,312.
Responsibilities:
Shopper Marketing Program Development & Execution
- Develops relationships with key customer marketing personnel to build shopper plans
- Assists with department administrative tasks
- Develops customized, omnichannel programs for assigned customers grounded in shopper insights levering tactics across full marketing mix – digital, social, influencer, ecommerce, in-store, etc.
- Utilizes customer data and campaign performance metrics to optimize media and measure results that positively drive sales/share growth for DMFI brands and the Retailer’s category
- Collaborates with agencies to develop strong partnerships and inspire great creative work across entire path to purchase.
- Collaborates with cross-functional team in development of national merchandising vehicles (floor shippers, pallet signs) in support shopper marketing programming
- Leverages national Shopper Marketing strategies and/or builds custom retailer programs in support of brand objectives at assigned accounts.
Business Management & Collaboration
- Participates in annual customer planning process and the integrated marketing communications process to influence and build actionable growth plans for our brands and customers.
- Builds strong partnerships, alliances and internal networks with critical stakeholders to achieve shared goals and influence – including Sales, Category Management, Ecommerce, Sales Planning, Brand, and Finance.
- Helps the team deliver volume and profit expectations.
- Develops strong understanding of Retailer strategies, category dynamics and shopper behavior.
- Understands key drivers of the marketing mix and adjusts plans as necessary to meet sales, profit and marketing goals.
Budget Management & ROI Analysis
- Pro-actively participates in financial review of marketing programs for assigned accounts ensuring profitability and ongoing efficiencies.
- Analyzes business results and consumption trends to identify growth opportunities for Shopper Marketing.
- Management of shopper marketing budgets for assigned accounts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CPG industry or related field; Shopper Marketing, Brand Management, Promotions and/or Agency experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in marketing, media or brand management.
- BS/BA degree required; MBA degree preferred.
- Preferred experience in Shopper Marketing (Dollar channel, C-Store, Drug and ecommerce a plus).
- Self-starter with results-orientation and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Strong business acumen and decision making/analytical skills; innovative and creative.
- Travel required +/- 20%.
