The Associate Manager, Computer-Aided Design manages a team of Project Designers responsible for facilitating finished operating room designs for Stryker Endoscopy customers. As a key member of the Commercial Operations leadership team, they establish business unit standards for software, techniques, and tools to prepare architectural drawings, enabling the sales and installation of $500M in projects annually.

- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, R&D, Quality and Field Operations to understand customer needs and defines project design strategy; develops constructive relationships with other departments to support new CAD initiatives.
- Prepares and maintains Project Design Budget.
- Develop talent within team to increase performance. Actively address performance issues on team.
- Provide a strategic direction and tactical quality focus to the Commercial Operations organization and influences the direction of design activities in alignment with industry-standards.
- Builds customer design capability for Endoscopy’s new product offerings.
- Administers the Project Design queue, tracks performance with developed metrics and reports on goal attainment.
- Manages day-to-day output of the Project Design team.
- Define targets, KPIs, performance objectives, etc. for individuals within functional role, and manage direct reports to meet or exceed these targets.
- Use knowledge of the field to keep software tools and techniques up to date.
- Establishes standard process to ensure appropriate resolution and management of the responsible task owner.
- Recruit, select, and on-board top talent.
- Ensures project documentation is in compliance with branding and technical standards.
- Maintain a high level of team engagement.
- In conjunction with the Project Engineering Manager, works to understand project design quality and improve the CAD development process for customers.
What you Need:
- Travel up to 10% requiring flights and overnight stays
- 2+ years management experience preferred
- Must be able to generate and explain detailed proposals, guidelines, and procedures for the Project Design function to departmental and/or non-departmental personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, architecture or other relevant field of study or 6 years additional relevant work experience.
- Expertise in Revit preferred
- Proficient in AutoCAD, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Expertise in SolidWorks preferred
- Autodesk Certified preferred
$104,600 - $172,600 salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based location.
