Civil Cad Technician Designer

Overview:

Oller Engineering, Inc.(OEI) has a full-time position open in their Lubbock, Texas office for a CAD Technician/Designer with experience in AutoCAD and Civil3D. This position will primarily support OEI’s water resource and environmental engineering team. Candidates must be able to prepare project and construction drawings and details for water, wastewater, stormwater, or other related projects based on input provided by the engineering team and Project Manager. Drawings requested may include but are not limited to site plans, development and drainage layouts, water and sewer line plans and profiles, and water and wastewater treatment plant designs.

Responsibilities:(Include but are not limited to)

·Ability to produce full set plans for construction and submittal for regulatory review and approval.

·Prepare technical drawings and maps.

·Review the scope of work with the Project Manager.

·Prepare updates and changes from detailed sketches and red-line edits.

·Handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:

·Associate's Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design or higher.

·1+ years of experience working with AutoCAD and Civil3D.

·Experience working with Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is preferred.

·Knowledge of construction industry materials for water and wastewater projects is preferred.

·Basic knowledge of engineering design principles and construction methods.

·Basic knowledge of GIS data and modalities is preferred.

OEI’s ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial drive with excellent communication standards. This position often experiences high-paced schedules with short notice drafting changes.
