Associate Director, Global Medical Review

• Provide oversight for scientific review and approval of promotional and medical materials in compliance with corporate standards and government/industry regulations.
• Collaborates with medical leads to ensure promotional and non-promotional materials are aligned to medical strategy.
• Assists in the reporting of key metrics on business processes as needed.
• Serves as a liaison to cross-functional teams to incorporate current medical information into departmental resources.
• Advises cross-functional teams on how to best communicate the scientific/medical value of Karyopharm’s products to key internal and external audiences.
• Supports the Global Medical Information team by surveying medical literature for new data in relevant therapeutic areas, liaising with Publications to develop and maintain product expertise, and other initiatives as needed.
• Develops and implements processes and standards to improve efficiencies and best practices.
• Serves as Karyopharm’s lead medical reviewer, ensuring best practices are executed to increase the quality and scientific rigor of all field commercial and medical materials.
• Demonstrates broad knowledge of disease areas, product labelling, and regulatory guidance.

• 5+ years experience working in a Medical Review role
• PharmD, PhD, or MD
• Minimum 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry
• Working knowledge of FDA regulations relevant to drug promotion and dissemination of medical and product information
• Experience in content management systems required - Veeva Vault
• Ability to effectively work in a multidisciplinary team and cultivate collaborative working relationships between Global Medical and Scientific Affairs and cross-functional team members
• Previous experience in scientific communications desired
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $125K to $216K per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
