Associate Director, Medical Information Content

The Role

The Associate Director, Medical Information Content will set strategic direction for Medical Information content globally and lead its end-to-end development, management, and optimization.

This role will be based in our Cambridge, MA HQ and offers flexibility to work anywhere 30% of the time. Candidates must be based in, or willing to relocate to, the greater Boston area. Given our high level of collaboration and fast pace, this role is not able to be remote.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Define global Medical Information content strategy in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders and devise content roll-out strategy
Drive content development and management, including global and local standard response letters
Define and standardize processes for the Medical Information content creation lifecycle
Drive digital first strategy with content design and execution appropriate for Moderna Atlas globally
Liaise with global scientific leadership and medical advisors to identify emerging medical information content needs and partner with the Medical Review Committee and the Promotional Material Review Team to ensure smooth review and approval of Medical Information content
Lead congress participation or support for the Medical Information team
Partner with Clinical Development, global Regulatory and Clinical Safety & Pharmacovigilance teams to stay ahead of product label revisions, new safety signals and other events that may warrant the creation of new content or impact existing Medical Information content
Engage with Scientific Communications and Digital Medicine teams to identify and stay informed on relevant medical and scientific therapeutic areas for Moderna and its customer communication channels
Ensure up to date FAQs and custom response support in coordination with the MI Tier 2 Lead
Collaborate with the Director Partner Strategy & Management and the Director Medical Information Operations to train MI Tier 2 team and vendors on relevant content
Devise and drive content optimization initiatives with Medical Information and Medical Affairs Digital partners
Advance Standard Response Letter optimization, including customer-centric adaptation and digitization of formats and development of videos for complex topics with Scientific Communications and Digital Medicine teams for distribution across platforms
Further advance modularized content creation and update processes
Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)
Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD)
6+ years of relevant job experience
Medical Information content experience
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Vaccine / Infectious disease therapeutic area experience strongly preferred
Excellent understanding of and adherence to relevant FDA, EU, ICH guidelines and regulations
Familiarity with Medical Information systems
Strong analytical acumen and ability to synthesize scientific information for healthcare providers and consumers
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage complexity in a fast-paced environment
A ‘digital first’ mindset and drive for continuous learning and improvement
Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic, global and cross-functional environment
