About the role:

Join Takeda as the Associate Director, Consumer Marketing where you will own the development and operationalization of the strategy for Consumer Marketing within a GI Franchise. Reporting to the Director, Consumer Marketing, you will be responsible to lead the development of the strategy for the assigned Consumer segment and ensure cross-functional alignment and integration with the overall Brand and Franchise strategy.

How you will contribute:

  • Proactively monitor customer and market trends, pipeline and integrates insights into situation analysis.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Consumer Team to develop an integrated Consumer plan based on the established strategy. Execute the integrated Consumer plan ensuring pull-through of Brand strategies.
  • Effectively manage media and creative agencies of record, their work product and budget for assigned programs. Make recommendations to optimize investment mix.
  • Develop message architecture, core promotional assets. Lead planning, development, execution, measurement and optimization for key campaigns.
  • Maintain strong working partnerships with cross-functional team (i.e. medical, legal, regulatory, IT, training, finance, etc.).
  • Identify and articulate actionable Consumer insights for the assigned Consumer segment, establishes Consumer profile, develops Consumer journey, sets desired Consumer behavioral objectives.
  • Leads Consumer Marketing Team budget.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Required:

  • Strong influencing, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead without authority and influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment across key stakeholders
  • Proficiency in developing marketing strategy and tactic design with an ability to communicate ideas to internal partners and external agencies
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to lead complex programs and campaigns
  • Ability to lead and set direction for customer-facing functions (e.g. Field Force, Multichannel Marketing Team)
  • Understanding of TV and digital channels in pharmaceutical and/or consumer packaged goods (CPG) marketing, and how to effectively engage consumers
  • Ability to effectively mobilize internal and external resources and make trade-offs

Preferred:

  • 3 or more years of experience in Patient/Consumer marketing
  • MBA or other advanced degree
