Global Consumer Marketing and Campaigns Lead


The Role


The AMD Global Consumer Client MNC marketing organization is looking for a marketing professional to drive consumer marketing strategy and global marketing campaigns for the consumer segment which includes PC laptops and desktops that are powered by AMD Ryzen™ processors. This role will develop go-to market strategy, manage marketing campaigns and retail cycle content, including but not limited to messaging, creative and plan development. The primary focus is to create end user content and activation strategies that drives awareness and sell out of AMD powered PCs to consumers.


The Person


This is a cross functional and collaborative position, working closely with the business units, regional marketing teams, OEM marketing, WW sales leaders and organizations within WW marketing. The ideal candidate will understand the consumer, bring fresh thinking on how to drive the consumer marketing strategy and be a strong collaborator.


Key Responsibilities


  • Partners closely with internal brand/creative team to manage campaign development
  • Collaborate across WW marketing (Social, Web and PR) to develop plans to meet timing and business need
  • Defines influencer strategy and provides guidance to regions in partnership with media team
  • Represents consumer marketing campaigns in all core team meetings and communicate all marketing requirements and plan updates
  • Works with cross-functional teams such as product marketing, social, digital and regional marketing teams to align on requirements and ensure successful execution of campaigns and programs on time and on budget
  • Builds plans, calendars, dashboards and cross-functional accountability models to communicate progress to key stakeholders.
  • Manages team responsible for the executional excellence of all consumer campaigns and content
  • Works with the research leads to drive end user and target audience research and be the SME on audience persona, journey and insights
  • Define the global consumer marketing strategy that supports key business priorities through partnership with the business units and key worldwide marketing leaders
  • Leads campaign development from strategy through execution for priority campaigns, including but not limited to, creative development of video, digital and in-store merchandising assets, and working with internal media team to deliver media strategy
  • Leads annual budget planning and manages quarterly budgets for Consumer Segment marketing


Preferred Experience


  • Top-notch communication skills, with a demonstrable ability to articulate technical value proposition to a non-technical audience
  • This position requires up to 10% travel
  • A self-starter and ability to work independently and with a team
  • Skilled in all MS Office Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Agency (creative and media) management and creative production experience a must
  • Progressive, relevant GTM/Advertising/Marketing experience in the high-tech industry
  • Track record of bringing end user insights and research into effective campaigns and messaging
  • Prefer consumer experience and knowledge of the OEM business
  • People management experience required


Academic Credentials


  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field. MBA a plus
