This position has no direct reports; however, has upward mobility in a high growth, private healthcare company that has nearly tripled its revenue in the last 5 years.

Furthermore, this position is expected to work closely with Regional Presidents, and C-level execs to analyze, solve, and communicate material and complex new business opportunities.

The position is also expected to manage and work across multiple corporate functions (finance, legal, integration/operations, and clinical leadership) in the context of organic growth, tuck-in acquisitions, and special projects as a high profile and trusted team member that drives solutions.

This position is expected to handle sensitive company information with proper care and confidentiality.
Location: Remote
The focus of this position is heavy financial modeling and data analysis.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Advance the company’s organic growth and tuck-in acquisition strategy by owning the financial analysis and due diligence of new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain detailed understanding of USACS’s service lines, regions, strategy
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships across multiple corporate functions (Finance, Legal, Operations, Regional/Clinical Leadership)
  • Competency and creative problem-solving abilities in the areas of Finance, Investing, Strategy, Organic Growth, Investor Relations, Board of Directors initiatives, Market Sizing & Strategy, and Industry Competitive Dynamics
Specific Organic Growth responsibilities
  • Review and assist in the drafting of legal documentation: Letter of Intents (“LOIs”), Term Sheets, Compensation Plan Agreements, and Definitive Customer Agreements
  • Create and execute on diligence work plans
  • Create scenario and sensitivity analyses to determine impact to financial results, EBITDA multiples & investment returns, and cash flow
  • Serve as liaison to Integration team to ensure a smooth transaction close and synergy realization
  • Run the excel financial model that analyzes the “what” and the “why” of historical financial results, and thoughtfully projects the drivers and estimated results of Revenue and EBITDA
  • Summarize due diligence findings and team recommendations into power point presentations for C-suite executives and Board Members
  • Participate in the new business screening process to determine which organic growth opportunities are worth team resources. In this capacity, analyze local market opportunities & strategies, growth strategies within targeted health system customers, competitive dynamics, local physician group dynamics, and financial opportunities
  • Identify synergies, coordinating directly with Regional Presidents and our operations leaders to develop a viable plan, including integration timeline
  • Build funds flow model used by USACS Treasury to wire cash and equity funds at close
  • Deliver on special business strategy projects as assigned by executive management (e.g. CEO, CFO, GC), Board of Directors, and Business Development team members
  • Attend conferences and management meetings as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision, including ability to independently identify, research and resolve issues
  • Possesses eagerness to take on growing responsibilities and leadership roles within USACS
  • Communication skills: An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization. Is responsive to team members
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, including capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with C-suite executives preferred
  • Willingness to travel on occasion, as needed
  • Possesses strong attention to detail, curiosity in understanding the “why”, and desire to “own” his/her role. Team player mindset
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple complex projects against their deadlines
  • Experience in and ability to exercise considerable judgment, maintain confidentiality, and act in a diplomatic manner
  • Experience interfacing with private equity preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in EBITDA modeling & analysis, company valuation, and M&A due diligence
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 2 years bulge-bracket accounting, investment banking, equity research, management consulting, corporate finance, or corporate development experience
  • Healthcare industry experience. Health system or physician group experience welcomed, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree, with above 3.5 GPA preferred
Salary Grade: $78,566 - $130,943
Salary may be determined on several factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience, education, geographical location and requirements stated in job description
