Job Description

Position Summary:

As a health and wellness enthusiast, passionate about the Company’s mission to improve people’s lives through the power of functional mushrooms, the Associate Brand Manager plays a key role in building the Om brand’s credibility and authority in the mushroom category. Responsibilities include brand communications, owned media channels and retail & shopper marketing.

The ABM embraces the Om brand with positive energy and is a creative problem solver that’s able to roll up their sleeves and help achieve our vision – a world where everyone is superpowered by mushrooms!

Ideal candidates will:

·Live and breathe media and have been involved in successful 360 campaigns

·Be social media experts, understanding how to reach consumers on each platform

·Have an eye for breakthrough creative, bringing new and differentiated activation ideas

The ABM will perform duties in accordance with industry specific regulations, Global Food Safety Initiative Standards, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points Certification, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Standards, performance expectations as well as Workplace Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

The ABM plays a key role in supporting changes and improvements in performance, food safety and quality. Partnering with Operations, the ABM, Equity will support overall food safety and quality ensuring Safe & Quality Products.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Support consumer-facing tradeshows/events and company presence at Natural Products Expo West and East
  • Provide other related duties as assigned by management
  • Help manage marketing budget
  • Adapt to shifting organizational priorities by taking ownership of new duties and regularly owning a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset
  • Retail sales support: Work with sales and creative partners to develop marketing support programs to drive sell-in and adoption of product line, including innovation support. Lead development and creation of 2 annual in-store promotions and various retail collateral.
  • Oversee community management by internal resource
  • Responsible to report on food safety and/or quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate corrective actions
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources plus use existing skills to produce content for social media, graphics, videos, webinars, blog posts, etc.
  • Manage all owned/earned media channels and corresponding partners:social media, email, website content, etc.
  • Brand communication: Implementation of new Om brand positioning across all consumer touch points. Drive the Om brand positioning and ingredient/company storytelling to amplify brand desirability and differentiation vs the competition. Assist in the development of the Om brand communications plan
  • Direct marketing: Deliver on-brand email and online marketing campaigns. Manage email marketing agency and develop programs to build AOV. Develop ongoing consumer acquisition programs to build email and SMS databases.
  • Develop and build upon Om’s influencer base and strategy. Manage outreach and post tracking.
  • Report on KPIs and impact of marketing programs and spend
  • Monitor and analyze brand, product, the consumer and competitive performance to stay abreast of innovation and developments in the mushroom and supplement industry

·No current direct reports, but subject to change as the department grows

·Oversight of agency, intern and/or freelancer work
