Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Develop software and analytics to further firmwide mandates: liquidity risk and interest rate risk management and trade execution, cash and collateral management, and funding optimization. Provide marking and quoting tools along with timely risk reporting to the desk. Maintain production software reports and calculations and respond to controller and trader inquiries relating to these reports. Optimize the firm’s liability stack by developing balance sheet analytics and hedging strategies. Work with treasury, desk strategists, and engineering teams to implement processes to optimally leverage financial resources to achieve commercial priorities. Perform quantitative analysis and facilitate business understanding of technical results.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in an Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative/Computational Finance, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in an Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative/Computational Finance, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Prior work experience must include one (1) year with a Master’s degree or three (3) years with a Bachelor’s degree with: performing financial modeling using financial mathematical techniques, including working with financial markets and assets, and participating in peer reviews of code; programming in Python, C++, Java, R or equivalent language; including working with and implementing or contributing significantly to widely used, large scale, multi-developer projects; applying mathematical techniques, including generalized linear regression, multivariate regression analysis, time series analysis, and optimization; creating, understanding, and explaining the output of complex models to stakeholders; working independently as owner of individual computational projects or initiative; and communicating results and stages of development of computational projects to senior stakeholders.
