Assistant Controller/Finance Manager

Our client is a high-growth, PE backed investment firm operating in the Restaurant / Hospitality field.

You will play a critical role their finance department, supporting the controller across multiple locations, and with multiple responsibilities.

This role can quickly develop into a full-blown controllership after 1-2 years.

Please note: CPA is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and industry best practices.
• Support the Controller in developing and implementing internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets.
• Assist the Controller in managing day-to-day accounting and finance functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
• Perform monthly and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for improving profitability and cost management.

Key Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably with exposure to financial reporting and analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
