Job Description

This position serves as the secondary service contact for the Account Manager and acts as support for benefits department. This position is primarily responsible for assistance with data entry, day to day servicing under the supervision of Account Manager in assisting with eligibility functions including new hire enrollments, terminations, qualifying life events, open enrollment changes, COBRA and census manipulations for the purposes of quoting.
Essential Duties include the following:
  • Must be responsive to all emails. All emails should be responded to within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Assist benefits team members with activity questions
  • Create Renewal/New Group presentation pages
  • Operate a personal computer and appropriate software packages. Above average skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word documents
  • Capturing, managing and inputting data into Benefit Point and Image Right (Agency Management Systems)
  • Follow Agency guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Assist training new benefits team members
  • Check activity with Account Managers for RFP to begin renewal processes
  • Benefits Agency Management System Training
  • Maintain effective information management between Account Manager, Producer and Carrier through all applicable means of communication, where applicable
  • Assist benefits team members with coding questions
  • Be responsible to confirm completion of any assigned projects
  • Ensure all applicable data is kept accurate and files maintained
  • Obtain full working knowledge of Agency Management System Policy coding Producer/Carrier Commission
  • Drafting and constructing presentations, spreadsheets, binders as well as various Reports and Analysis as assigned accordingly
  • Filling in for the Director of First Impressions on occasion
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Obtain full working knowledge of Benefit activities
  • Promote teamwork, positive attitude, and commitment to department/agency goals.
Required:
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
