Your Responsibilities

As an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer for Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will:

• Implement new manufacturing processes and technology
• Participate in team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity, and efficiency
• Work with electronic tools to perform engineering functions
• Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope
• Develop and implement plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing
• Provide support and basic trouble shooting for current operations. Investigate, gather, and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks
• Design operations layouts to improve material flow and material presentation
• Modify existing performance pay plans; assists in development of baseline data for new wage performance pay plans
• Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope

What Skills You Need

• Understand New Product introductions and/or production support
• Background in Engineering ( mechanical , electrical , hydraulics, power systems, etc.)
• Working knowledge of database management tools, the various loan accounting systems, and process management systems
• Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tool
• Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance, and facilities

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality through internships, relevant coursework, or practical experience
• Experience with engineering tools, systems, and databases through internships, relevant coursework, or practical experience.
• Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools through internships, relevant coursework, or practical experience
• Experience in Project management (Medium-size Projects) and business planning

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or related field.
