About You


The Area Director (Pro Channel Sales) at Nutrafol will be responsible for developing and executing annual sales plans to exceed performance objectives for his/her area of responsibility. The Area Director will lead and manage a team of Business Development Managers spanning the Central US Market - Wisconsin/Illinois/Ohio/Michigan/Indiana/Texas/Oklahoma/Louisiana.


The successful candidate will be responsible for overall coordination, management and leadership of sales strategies in alignment with US sales and marketing strategy. They will oversee recruitment, hiring, management, development and retention of personnel as needed, and will review, analyze, revise, communicate, and implement company sales procedures and policies. The Area Director will also be responsible for managing strategic implementation of the Nutrafol marketing plan and driving overall performance against key commercial objectives and metrics. This position reports to the National Sales Director.


While Nutrafol is a distributed, remote-first company, the successful candidate for this role must reside within the assigned region (Central U.S.), as this role requires travel in these markets.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute key sales and marketing strategies
  • Attainment of sales objectives through strategic planning, motivation and area development
  • Manage and oversee Area resources, budgets, and expenses
  • Evaluate and recommend staff deployment as well as Area and BDM assignments
  • Actively participate in scheduled company sales meetings, conference calls, and other necessary business meetings
  • Positively represent Nutrafol and the organization at educational events as well as local and national trade shows
  • Demonstrate and model high integrity aligned with company standards and policies for business and compliance
  • Oversee business operations, including accounts receivable, distribution, forecasting, and quota assignment
  • Maintain a high level of business acumen in prioritizing reporting and record-keeping necessary for proper area management
  • Attract, develop and retain top Business Development Manager field personnel
  • Innovate and scale concepts and vision across the team and area
  • Build and nurture relationships with top KOLs (Plastic surgeons, Dermatologists, OBYGNs. etc.)
  • Proactively develop and cultivate a positive and performance-driven culture
  • Maintain high degree of knowledge and insight with regard to market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
  • Monitor field activity to ensure optimal productivity and effectiveness
  • Provide key market insights back to sales, operations and marketing management


Requirements


  • Ability to model change leadership, perseverance and resilience and to help others navigate ambiguity
  • Ability to seek out, connect with, build, and maintain customer & KOL relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with both internal and external partners
  • Advanced knowledge of the aesthetic category
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing large geographic areas and sales teams
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Track record of consistently exceeding sales objectives
  • Ability to lead in a launch or fast-paced, highly visible and dynamic environment
  • 6+ years Sales Management experience
  • Possess highly advanced business acumen, experience working with budgets and finance, and a high degree of technical expertise including analytics and key revenue drivers
  • Demonstrated track record of influence and persuasion skills
  • 8+ years relevant industry experience
  • Highly advanced leadership qualities, such as modeling, coaching, motivating, and building large highly effective teams


Preferred


  • Experience in both cash pay medicine and reimbursed environments
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in biopharmaceutical, medical device and/or healthcare industry, with a strong preference for medical aesthetics (dermatology, plastic surgery, etc.) experience
  • Prior roles held in senior sales management and other cross functional roles
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA)


Nutrafol takes into consideration a wide range of factors in final compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. The listed range is applicable only to the annual base salary and does not include additional perks, benefits, or applicable bonus eligibility comprising the total compensation package.


Salary Range


$140,000 — $160,000 USD
