Job Summary


This position is responsible for creating reports, insights and analytics in support of the division; creating specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs; possibly providing consultation to users and working on cross functional teams to address the divisions issues; producing datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools; possibly performing research and assisting in analyzing data related to the division*s strategic initiatives and broader research needs; interfacing between the business and divisional data teams to generate tools to be leveraged in building analysis and reports which are actionable within the business environment; working closely with customers to build relationships; and continuously gaining a deeper understanding of the division*s data in order to meet business needs; analyzing complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers; identifying and interpreting trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.


BASIC FUNCTION: (TECHNICAL CLAIMS)/ (CLAIMS)


This position is responsible for improving health care operations by identifying business process re-engineering opportunities, conducting research studies, and developing solutions; investigating key business problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and healthcare cost data; working with complex, raw healthcare claims data; recognizing data patterns and potential issues and making recommendations; creating reports, insights and analytics in support of the division; creating specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs; possibly providing consultation to users and working on cross functional teams to address the divisions issues; producing datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools; possibly performing research and assisting in analyzing data related to the division*s strategic initiatives and broader research needs; interfacing between the business and divisional data teams to generate tools to be leveraged in building analysis and reports which are actionable within the business environment; working closely with customers to build relationships, communicate and clarify results; and Subset Platform Solutions.


HYBRID ROLE


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools; possibly performing research and assisting in analyzing data related to the division’s strategic initiatives and broader research needs.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
  • Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers; identifying and interpreting trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
  • Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs; possibly providing consultation to users and working on cross-functional teams to address business issues.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.
  • Work closely with customers to build relationships; and continuously gaining a deeper understanding of program data in order to meet business needs.
  • Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
  • Create reports, insights and analytics in support of the business.
  • Interface between the business and divisional teams to generate tools to be leveraged in building analysis and reports which are actionable within the business environment.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Learn needed skills by performing assigned work.
  • Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Assist in solving a range of problems.
  • Build knowledge of division, business processes and customers.
  • Assist in producing data sets and reports for analysis using SQL, Excel or other reporting tools.
  • Verify accuracy of reports and provide insights with guidance.
  • Assist with possible solutions using standard procedures to solve routine or basic problems.
  • Bachelor Degree OR 2 years’ experience in data analysis and information reporting data.


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science or related field preferred.
  • CA
  • Experience with SQL
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with VBA
  • Experience with analysis and reporting of healthcare data.
  • Experience with Excel
