Position Summary: In partnership with the Senior Director of Analyst Relations, this role focuses on supporting efforts of IT industry analyst relations staff in establishing, nurturing and building relationships with technology industry analysts to maintain and enhance F5's credibility and thought leadership with these constituents.

This position contributes to highly visible engagements, deliverables and outcomes inside F5 that often have the potential to materially impact F5’s entire business.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • May manage second- and third-tier analyst relationships and reactive requests
  • Supports AR influential excellence efforts (30% of time)
  • Maintains database of analyst contacts and tracks engagement history with targeted analysts; generates metrics from related data
  • Assists in the review and editing of analyst-targeted content in partnership with content owners across F5
  • Participates in periodic quantitative evaluation of analyst influence to support targeting methodologies
  • Monitors analyst social media presence and activity
  • Work in partnership with AR staff to collect and organize analyst research and then disseminate knowledge derived from research among key internal audiences
  • Assists AR staff in project management related to F5 vendor or product ratings and industry analyst reports that rank F5’s products and services, including Gartner Magic Quadrants/Critical Capabilities and Forrester Waves
  • Interacts directly with analysts and other analyst firm staff in scheduling and coordinating engagements
  • Tracks paid analyst resource allocation and utilization
  • Tracks analyst firm business developments and changes in research agendas and analyst coverage
  • Contributes to outbound analyst-facing activity streams (35% of time)
  • Assist with research, guidance and insights into the business intelligence & corporate strategy team
  • Supports customer evidence-related activities for AR, such as customer reference identification
  • Additional analyst relations duties (35% of time)
  • Contributes to AR activities around product launches, events and announcements

Other Responsibilities:


  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Experience in presentation and graphic design
  • Knowledge of enterprise technology
  • Persuasive storytelling
  • Excellent writing and editing abilities
  • Ability to distill & summarize significant elements from lengthy technical articles and conversations (without using generative AI/chatbot tools)
  • Understanding of the IT analyst business landscape


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • The individual must be articulate, professional and have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with a wide range of personalities
  • Prior exposure to IT industry analyst relation practices preferred, or related professional responsibilities in managing long-term relationships of persuasion within a context of technical or complex fields
  • Self-motivator and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Naturally curious


Physical Demands and Work Environment:


  • Job requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 15% of the time spent traveling.
  • Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone & video conference, and read printed material.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $60,480.00 - $90,720.00


F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
