Analyst, Global Markets Corporate Banking

Supports the origination and structuring of trading product transactions, and coordinates with other products as an integral part of a larger coverage team that maintains strong client relationships. Includes establishing credit facilities to support trading products business and providing ongoing management of the portfolio.

• Works mostly independently.
• Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
• Completes quality reports/analyses.
• Performs analysis as part of client/ industry evaluations.
• Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Focus may be on a business/group.
• Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.
• Completes due diligence and credit analysis on new and existing client relationships.
• Applies technical concepts and understands implication of work to client/transaction.
• Considers risk, internal controls and compliance as part of day-to-day accountabilities and adheres to policies and procedures.
• Identifies opportunities for increased efficiency and improved service to internal and external clients.
• Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
• Reviews and assists in preparation of credit documentation (i.e. including applications, memoranda, presentations, etc.) for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepares industry compilations.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
• Develops an understanding of and proficiency in using all required systems and models.
• Seeks to develop an understanding of client needs and outcomes.
• Provides feedback on, and, supports continuous improvement opportunities.
• Provides analytical findings to deal teams.

• Researches and analyzes financial and operating information relating to companies and industries.

Qualifications:

• Skilled in creating statistical presentations.
• Has financial analysis training and experience.
• Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools.
• Undergraduate degree has academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting with an outstanding academic achievement.
• Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.
• Has up to 3 years of relevant experience within investment and/or corporate banking unit.
• Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
• Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
• Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
• Excellent analytical skills..
• Influence skills - In-depth.

Compensation & Benefits:

Annual base salary: $80,000-$90,000 USD. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the BMO Financial Group's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role. This position is also eligible for a bonus plan. The base salary and potential bonus is one component of BMO Financial Group's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance.
