Position Overview:
If you are a smart, curious, self-motivated professional with a passion for commercial real estate and fixed-income securities, Freddie Mac Multifamily is the employer for you. The country’s largest Multifamily lender, with a platform of over $60 billion annually, is looking to add an analyst to the Capital Markets Investor Relations team, focusing on supporting the marketing of our suite of securities, including our flagship K-Deal®, SB-Deal® and Multi PCSM programs and other credit risk transfer initiatives. We are looking for a team-oriented, energetic self-starter, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across an organization and support the Investor Relations strategy. The individual should have an interest in understanding and articulating Freddie Mac’s various products and strategies of transferring risk. Freddie Mac Multifamily makes affordable rental housing possible by purchasing apartment loans throughout the nation from a network of lenders and then securitizing them through a variety of offerings. As of 2022, over 86% of the units we financed were affordable to moderate- and low-income families earning at or below 100% of the area median income (AMI). Our most impactful loan products are being securitized in various Impact Bonds offerings. Investor Relations team support all risk transfer activities, including Impact Bonds issuances and Capital Markets ESG related activities.
Your Impact:
In this role, you will be an integral part in broadening existing and potential investors awareness and interest in Freddie Mac Multifamily Bonds offerings and various CRT products. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare for industry conferences, investor meetings and events, as well as develop and update investor presentations
- Contribute to innovative thought leadership on Freddie Mac Multifamily capital markets offerings
- Ad hoc projects to advance the Investor Relations strategy integration
- Research and collect data of current industry developments
- Assist with managing relationships with current and new investors. Involves arranging regular update meetings/calls and responding to inquiries
- Analyze and collect fixed income capital markets information from various sources to provide insights and updates to the team
- Support the marketing efforts of our suite of securities, including our flagship K-Deal®, SB-Deal® and Multi PC programs and other credit risk transfer initiatives
- Assist in developing, implementing and managing databases and reports that directly support the Investor Relations strategy, including identifying investment trends and preparing investor profiles
Qualifications:
- Typically has 0-2 years of related work experience
- Self-motivated individual with a high level of attention to detail
- Willingness to travel in the United States (10%)
- Strong communications skills and the ability to write effectively
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Basic understanding of Capital Markets
- Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business administration or finance, related field, or equivalent work experience; Math or English minor being a plus

- Comfortable working in a team-oriented atmosphere, but with the capacity for self-directed work
- High level of initiative and attention to detail, placing a high degree on accuracy and organization.
- Experience dealing with external vendors and service providers and coordinating their activities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to clearly articulate ideas to senior management and external audiences
- Demonstrated experience in determining objectives, developing plans to achieve them and leading execution

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $63,000 - $95,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.-
