Job Description
ThinkCyte is a startup company that developed a disruptive new technology named Ghost Cytometry (GC) which combines high-speed imaging and machine learning to analyze and sort target cells based on morphological and imaging phenotypes in high-throughput mode by flow. The cutting-edge flow cytometry instruments integrating GC technology empower researchers and professionals to advance scientific discovery and improve healthcare outcomes.

With our ideal location in the heart of Silicon Valley, we are surrounded by leading biopharma companies, prospective biotech startups, and world-class research institutions, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.


We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Logistics Specialist to join our dynamic team, managing the end-to-end global logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment for our novel flow cytometry platform, VisionSortTM, and related consumables and reagents. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods globally, coordinating with internal teams and external partners/customers, and maintaining accurate records of inventory and shipments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of logistics processes, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize cost, efficiency, and quality in transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to logistics and supply chain management
  • Coordinate and execute shipping and receiving activities, including preparing shipping documentation, labeling, and tracking shipments, for both domestic and international shipments.
  • Maintain detailed records of service calls, instrument installations, and customer interactions working closely with the Operation team.
  • Identify and resolve logistics-related issues or discrepancies, such as shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies in quantities or product quality in the shortest time possible.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, quality control, sales, and customer service to ensure smooth logistics operations and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate with external partners, such as carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, to ensure compliance with local regulations and resolve any logistics-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, including documentation, reports, and databases.
  • Manage inventory levels, monitor stock levels, and conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications


  • Familiarity with customs regulations, transportation modes, and international trade practices
  • Proficient in using logistics software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, preferably in the life science industry.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment for both domestic and international shipment.
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
  • Knowledge of life science instruments and related logistics processes will be a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners/customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
