Job Description
About Aero

Aero is on a mission to redefine air travel—inspired by the golden age of aviation, designed for modern life. Direct, premium flights via private terminals offer guests the comfort of low-contact travel and the effortlessness of flying private, in our beautifully designed jets. From custom aircraft to our Hosts and our dedicated Concierge teams, everything we do is personalized, placing the guest at the heart of everything we do. We pride ourselves on being dedicated, compassionate hosts both with our guests and our teammates. At Aero, we are one team and we support each other, knowing together we are stronger as we build a business to reimagine the future of travel.

About This Role

At Aero, our experience extends well beyond taking people from one place to another. As a team, we pride ourselves on being consummate hosts, ensuring every guest enjoys an effortless, personalized experience. We are looking for team members who are natural empaths, derive energy from cultivating relationships and want to be part of ushering in a new Golden Age of Travel.

As an Aero Host, you will be the face of the Aero experience on the ground, and responsible for delivering a creative, adaptable, and warm environment in our Lounges and beyond. While the Lounge will be your home base, we will regularly expect all team members to step outside the everyday scope of their roles—from helping a teammate to going above and beyond to meet the needs of our guests (Hosts may regularly be asked to work shifts as a Concierge, working with guests over phone and email). We will depend on your natural warmth and graciousness, your collaborative spirit, and your ability to think quickly on your feet to serve our Guests with sincerity, transparency, and poise. All Hosts will be responsible for adhering to security and safety standards and procedures; all Hosts will also undergo training as Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) to ensure a deep understanding of TSA procedures and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Be prepared for service recovery when required in circumstances such as irregular operations/delay
  • Ensure you are poised to deal with any safety or security incident that may come your way, and be proactive about stress, fatigue, or other factors that may impede your ability to safely execute operational duties
  • Be willing to learn new technologies including Aeros bespoke systems. Capture and deliver thoughtful feedback to the team in order to continuously improve operations and guest experience

  • Constantly monitor the operational environment for any changes or concerns that might affect the safety or security of guests and crew, and notify relevant leaders as needed
  • Prioritizing safety is our number one value. A host must ensure all guests and teammates are complying with all safety training and seek opportunities to improve safe operations when possible
  • Prepare relevant documentation and materials for flights, including guest amenities (for both in the lounge and on aircraft), luggage tags, boarding passes, and more as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with and knowledgeable about all company and FAA policies and procedures and ensure all activities remain in accordance with the Host Procedures Playbook, TSA security requirements, and Ground Handling Manual
  • Ensure a safe, seamless, and extraordinary guest experience and ground operation with relentless attention to detail from departures to arrivals, including check-in, luggage check, boarding, and arrivals while eliminating waiting or hassle, and working closely with ground handling and airport partners
  • Work alongside your Host Team, Flight Crew & Operations team harmoniously to make critical decisions regarding daily operations
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 4 hours. Fast-paced (but not running) movement may be required when moving from one area of the airport or lounge to another. Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 50lb. (luggage, carts, etc.). Occasionally kneel, bend, carry, and assist around the aircraft
  • As this is a (DOT) safety-sensitive position as defined in 14 CFR part 120[1]: All prospective employees are subject to pre-employment testing and random testing throughout employment for the following drugs and their metabolites: Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines, Opioids, and Phencyclidine (PCP)
  • Must have a flexible work schedule and be comfortable with change in these uncertain times
  • Shift hours may vary and may start early morning or extend into the evening. Candidates must have the flexibility of schedule and be willing to work outside of 9-5 hours including nights, weekends and holidays Must live within 60 minutes of the airport.
