Job Description

The MBA is the GSM’s flagship degree program and generates $15 million in annual revenues for the GSM. This individual is responsible for student enrollments for one of four MBA programs and may support other business graduate degree recruitment. The GSM is also launching the new Master of Management one-year degree program which will educate emerging business leaders earlier their careers. This individual is also responsible for student enrollments for the MM degree.


Job Summary

The Associate Director of Admissions has management responsibility for the efficient and successful execution of a comprehensive MBA and Master of Management (MM) recruiting program for the express purpose of converting MBA prospects into applicants and admits into students. Responsible for overall recruitment strategy, relationship management and meeting enrollment targets for the UC Davis MBA and MM programs.


RECRUITMENT PERIOD ONE MONTH: Applicants will be screened after two weeks; and then on a weekly basis. The position can be filled prior to the removal date.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • THIS POSITION IS BASED IN DAVIS, CA
  • Travel to Sacramento, Davis and San Ramon campuses and Sacramento and Bay Area locations; passport are required.
  • Requires travel, including overnight and weekends, in state, nationally and internationally as the need arises.
  • Work evenings, holidays, and weekends sometimes on short notice, to meet operational needs. Based in Davis, CA campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • Seasoned professional with experience (2+ years) in admissions or corporate recruitment or sales, with a proven track record of delivering against goals.
  • Seasoned professional with experience (2+ years) in successful lead generation and applicant cultivation both in person and on the phone.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):

  • Adept at developing and delivering marketing presentations to persuade others and relay information in an enthusiastic and dynamic manner through public speaking and presentations.
  • A strategic thinker with analytical skills to prepare statistical reports, work within databases, and analyze a variety of data and processing systems to deliver and recommend data driven strategic plans for success.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • MBA, or other master’s degree, or a combination of education and experience. graduate management.
  • Seasoned professional with experience (4+ years) in admissions or corporate recruitment or sales, with a proven track record of delivering against goals.
  • Experience developing and successfully executing strategic plans, including goals, action plans, and metrics.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):

  • Ability to develop recruitment programs, and design effective outreach materials.
