Responsible for coordinating all intake requests with clinical liaisons and physicians, verifying insurances and obtaining authorizations as necessary, working with internal staff to determine preparedness for incoming patient, and communicating admission as necessary. Maintains and communicates census records including admissions, discharges, room changes, transfers, etc. Works closely with Marketing Department to ensure proper flow of intakes, accuracy of data received and entered. Works closely with all payers and customers, ensuring accurate knowledge of facility, services provided and outcomes. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.

Required Skills

• OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One (1) year experience in Business Office or Admissions Office in a medical setting preferred.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It’s not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $41.09 to $5.24.
