Job Description
Velos, a full-service consulting and engineering services firm representing leaders in the defense, aerospace, intelligence, and related industries, is hiring a qualified Administrative Assistant III. This position will work at a government facility in Silver Spring (currently remote due to COVID).


General duties will be to perform secretarial and administrative duties for NOAA / OPPA at the division's level, and as needed for executive/front office. Duties may include assisting with development of annual travel plans, processing local/domestic/international travel arrangements. Coordination with other NESDIS offices may be needed for complex travel plans.


This Position Will


  • Support development of office events for leadership requiring logistical coordination, planning, and on-site support.
  • Report to a senior officer or to the person responsible for a major activity in a large organization
  • Support timekeeping efforts for the office, and works with budget staff, supervisors, and Chief of Staff as needed.
  • Perform duties of a highly confidential nature that may require comprehensive knowledge of organizational policies, practices, and procedures; may prepare executive and Congressional correspondence


Minimum/General Experience: HS diploma (or equivalent), and 6 or more years of experience in a related field. Relevant college courses are generally necessary.
