: Electrical Lab Technician
Job Location: Seattle Stadium 100% On Site
Summary:
The Electrical Lab Technician will be working with the Hardware Product Engineering teams who are designing the next generation of VR devices. You will be responsible for PCBA rework, day-to-day maintenance and inventory management of the Electrical Engineering lab, and some electronics testing and prototyping. We are looking for an electrically-minded technician who is passionate about collaborating with other engineers and technicians to work on hardware products and prototypes. A successful candidate will be creative, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and looking to expand their skill set.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lab equipment and rework station maintenance, upkeep, calibration
- As possible, perform electrical and system testing, following engineering procedures and reporting results as required.
- Day-to-day managing of electrical engineering lab workspaces to serve engineering teams.
- As possible, review and execute wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components as needed to complete tasks
- PCBA rework, cable assembly, and electronics breadboarding.
- Lab tools and equipment inventory control, asset management, component purchasing/ordering support, invoice payment and delivery management
Skills:
- Experience with electronics test fixture development and basic operation
- Strong practical knowledge of engineering science and technology
- Initiative to learn, identify lab improvements, and seek opportunities
- Strong practical knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Organized and detail-oriented in a hardware lab environment
- Analytical problem-solving capability
- Strong collaborative ability with a desire to serve lab customers
- Experience with industry standard EE lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power supplies, etc.)
- Experience with fine-pitch/SMT/high density PCBA rework (0402)
Education/Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an electrical technician role working on high density PCBAs/electronics assemblies.
