Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $30.00


The Administrative Assistant is the liaison between our clients, shippers and operations teams. They assist with processing incoming orders, verifying accuracy, validating and resolving discrepancies. Working within a freight forwarding department for air and ocean export shipments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise closely with other teams to deliver high level of service to customers
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to problem solve
  • Receiving and validating shipping approvals and matching to orders
  • Report delays and exceptions
  • Convey transport/logistics & compliance guidance to customer and supplier
  • Determining shipping instructions based on contracted terms, SOPs and delivery requirements
  • Provides consistent and exceptional customer service levels through prompt communication
  • Communicate and resolve issues with suppliers and clients, both international and domestic


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Able to multi-task
  • 1 years’ experience in an office based customer service field
  • Strong skills in use of Excel, Outlook
  • High School diploma

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision.


WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
