Job Description
Administrative Assistant -


Autism Behavioral Center's mission is to improve the independence and social awareness of individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) while simultaneously increasing the knowledge, skill set, and quality of life for both the individuals and families of those impacted by ASD. ABC offers a comprehensive array of services including one-to-one in-home therapy, social skills programs, community programs, specifically targeting deficits that impact individuals with autism. Each service program is tailored exclusively to meet the needs of both the individual and the family.


Job Summary


The Office Assistant will provide cross-departmental support to the Clinical and Administrative teams. Main functions of this position include intake coordination and interface with current and potential clients.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Initial & concurrent authorization requests
  • Interface with current and potential clients
  • Assist all insurance verifications, internal compliance audits & projects
  • Platform profile set-up
  • Clinical file maintenance
  • Intake appointment scheduling
  • Point of contact for new client referrals
  • Assist with incoming/outgoing calls
  • Client Drive profile set-up
  • Maintain clinical files
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Billing Supervisor and Director of Operations
  • Insurance verification set-up
  • Assist with Insurance Provider relations
  • Client records management


Qualifications & Skills


  • No Experience Necessary
  • Experience with insurance carriers including Medicaid preferred but not required
  • Competency in Google G-Suite applications as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of medical CPT coding and Category I codes preferred but not required
  • Ability to learn new software is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work both independently and part of a team
