Job Description
Job Responsibilities


  • Prepare necessary paperwork for outside medical care to inmates.
  • Photograph and replace inmate ID's.
  • Maintain filing system for requisitions, purchase orders, receipts,
  • Handle inmate requests for reimbursement for damage/loss of property.
  • Assist with fixed asset audits and reports.
  • Maintain distribution of petty cash transactions and reimbursement requests.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining institution's budget.
  • Business Manager Position.
  • Prepare and maintain records for special funds accounts.
  • Assist in reporting pay-phones and personal identification requests.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of inmate pay.
  • Vouchers, printouts and correspondence relating to budget.
  • Process all inmate ID paperwork as needed.
  • Prepare and Maintain requisitions/records for supplies, contracts and materials.
Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum And Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements: (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
  • A high school diploma
  • Three (3) years of clerical accounting or bookkeeping experience.
