Accounts Payable Specialist Jobs

G&W Equipment, Inc. is an industry leader in sales and service of material handling equipment and related products, covering all of North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing Accounting Department in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for full cycle accounts payable, providing accounting assistance to internal departments, and working closely with vendors.

Primary job duties include:

• Provide accounting assistance to operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
• Partner with vendors regarding discrepancies, new account set up, payment schedules.
• Support month-end reconciliation and reporting.
• Process invoices for payment in a timely manner; review, code and monitor open invoices and pending check requests, key invoices into ERP system, match Purchase Orders, and set-up payment to vendors.
• Reconcile invoices to accounts payable report.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• 1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience, Associates or Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• ACH Banking / Cash Management experience preferred
• Working knowledge and experience with Accounting ERP, strong Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills
• Exceptional written and communication skills
