The Accounts Payable Specialist works closely with the Accounts Payable Manager and other AP Specialists, Senior Accountants, Controller, and Assistant Controller. The position will also interface with managers across all YETI departments to follow up on invoicing information and purchase order requests. The position will also interact daily with external vendors on follow up regarding payment and invoicing information. The Accounts Payable team also has a strong interaction with the IT team to ensure smooth performance of all AP programs.

Responsibilities:

• Miscellaneous ongoing/special projects 10%
• Strong customer service with all that we interact with
• Review invoice aging
• Ensure accurate matching of purchase orders to invoices
• Supplier support 30%
• Interact with suppliers in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure accurate general ledger coding
• Enter vendor invoices timely and accurately into SAP
• Prepare 1099 reporting and ensure on a monthly basis that all vendors have the required tax identification and W- 9 information on file
• Bi-weekly review of various SAP reports (GRIR and MRBR) to ensure invoices are being entered timely and accu- rately
• Invoice entry 60%
• Monitor AP email inbox to download vendor invoices and respond to vendor inquiries

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in an Accounting discipline
• Can handle a fast pace and high volume of transactions
• Looks for new efficiencies to bring to the organization
• Proven track record in managing the Accounts Payable Function, preferably in a wholesale distribution enterprise
• PC literate – Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel)
• Goal oriented with high standards for excellence
• Excellent organization and project management skills
• Self-motivated desire to complete projects by deadline
• At least 0-2 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to manage routine tasks repeatedly
• Fanatical attention to detail
• SAP experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to handle special projects as assigned and work diligently to a successful conclusion
• Strong Excel skills and demonstrated ability to develop spreadsheets for tracking vendor activity

US Workplace Approach:

• Hybrid: Role requires you to be located in Austin, Texas and is a mixture of onsite and remote.
• Onsite: Role requires you to be onsite full-time.
• Remote: Role is full-time remote.
