We are looking for a dynamic Accounts Payable Specialist. This position will work closely with and report directly to the Accounting Operations Manager and Assistant Controller. This position is a very hands-on position that will play an important role in the accounting and finance process.

Responsibilities:

• Processes weekly check requests, expense reports, and vendor invoices.
• Maintains accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and AP files.
• Follows up with vendors on inquiries and discrepancies.
• Reviews and maintains vendor statements.
• Follows up on past due invoices.
• Processes weekly check runs.
• Assists in various projects and audits as assigned by the Assistant Controller and VP of Accounting and Finance.
• Monitors and manage all incoming AP correspondence, including AP inbox.

Hours and Work Environment:

• Position will be based 100% in our corporate office in downtown Austin. **This is not a remote position**
• Full-time, additional hours required during peak and busy seasons.

Requirements:

• Compeat software experience, preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail and proven ability to organize data efficiently.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in high-volume Accounts Payable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a retail/restaurant environment preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to multi-task, adhere to tight deadlines and be self-disciplined.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
