Brown & Brown is seeking an Accounting Leader in Training!
In this role, you will receive the training, the mentoring, and the tools you need to advance within the Brown & Brown organization.
What You'll Do

• Accurately prepare budgets and monthly/quarterly forecasts
• Train with profit center staff to learn all functions of the department.
• Foster and seek relationships with teammates across all levels of Brown & Brown
• Assist Accounting Leader with month/quarter end processing.
• Ensure compliance with government agencies and corporate policies and procedures
• Request, track, and process excess reimbursements.
• Prepare and post daily transactions into the appropriate General Ledger revenue accounts using the Agency Management Financial Reporting System (AMFRS)/Workday.
• Track aging A/R and communicate with appropriate departments to ensure collection.
• Review expense reports and assist Accounting Leader in issuing disbursements.
• Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills
• Assist with preparation of monthly financials.
• Always conduct the highest level of confidentiality
• Other duties as needed
• Assist with Allocation updates, setting up recurring journals, and other normal monthly journal entries.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, required
• Bookkeeping experience, preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Availability to work long hours; night/weekend work may apply due to restrictions around Financial Reporting
• 1-3 years practical experience in the accounting field
• Master’s degree in Accounting, preferred

Target Pay
$55,000.00 USD Annual
